THIS IS MY STORY ...

We are very excited to hear from one of our own, Mark Carver this week at Woodstock Christian Business Network (WCBN)! He will share part of his life story and lessons learned as a realtor.

Mark will lead this discussion: “How can we as Christians in business be obedient to the command to lay up treasures in heaven while helping our clients (and ourselves) lay up treasures on earth? Are these two pursuits in conflict?”

Mark Carver is a Realtor with Keller Williams Signature Partners. His goal is to turn confusion into clarity and panic into peace of mind, and he is especially passionate about helping first-time buyers achieve their dream of home ownership. Prior to becoming a Realtor, Mark spent nearly a decade in China as a university English language teacher, and in the same capacity at Kennesaw State University. Mark lives in Woodstock with his wife and three children, and they attend Community Bible Church in Kennesaw.

TRUTH IN HIS WORD

Matthew 6:19-20 “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. “But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal.”

1 Timothy 6:17-19 “As for the rich in this present age, charge them not to be haughty, nor to set their hopes on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy. They are to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share, thus storing up treasure for themselves as a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of that which is truly life.”

Hebrews 6:10 “For God is not unjust. He will not forget how hard you have worked for him and how you have shown your love to him by caring for other believers, as you still do.”

Woodstock Christian Business Network is distinctly Christian purposed to connect, encourage, educate and motivate Christians in the workplace. We’re building profitable spiritual and business relationships that matter. We’re looking forward to meeting you!
