Rest & Work

“There are spiritual implications to a lack of rest.”

Wednesday, June 1st, we will present and discuss Balancing Rhythms of Rest and Work, based on a Theology of Work article and other resources.

“Human beings need a rhythm of work and rest in order to live up to their God-given potential. Just as God gives people important work to do, God also asks people to rest periodically from their labor. If our goal is to always be our best for the Lord, then rest is just as essential as the work we are called to perform.”

Genesis 2:2-3

2 And on the seventh day God finished the work that he had done, and he rested on the seventh day from all the work that he had done.

3 So God blessed the seventh day and hallowed it, because on it God rested from all the work that he had done in creation.

Don’t rest Wednesday morning! Join us for a time of discussion, sharing and encouragement. We’re looking forward to meeting you and starting building relationships that matter!
